Description: Modernist, mid-century coffee or tea set made by the German company Schirnding from Bavaria to the Dutch coffee brand Van Nelle. The decoration is made of a moulded pattern on the base followed by orange, purple and green stripes.

Made in: Bavaria, Germany
History: The former Van Nelle Factory in Rotterdam, a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site was built between 1927 and 1930. Inspired by the architecture of Le Corbusier, it was a factory, processing coffee, tea and tobacco and later on additional chewing gum, cigarettes, instant pudding and rice. The operation stopped in 1996.
